Steve Holcomb, an olympian who recently competed in the 2014 Sochi Olympics, has struggled with Keratoconus since childhood – much like me.

Our stories are similar and oh, so different.  We have both overcome periods of intense depression and heartache caused by our shared experience with the degenerative disease.  We have questioned our paths, our goals, and even our own lives.  And we have come out on the other end – scarred, yes – but also more compassionate, driven, and grateful because of these struggles.
